Who this covers
This policy covers maverickkabelo.co.bw, run by Maverick Kabelo. For anything below, email maverick@digitalthread.online.
What's collected, and by what
Two tools run on this site once you accept the cookie banner: Google Analytics 4, which records page views, general location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site; and Microsoft Clarity, which records session replays and heatmaps showing how visitors move through pages. Neither collects your name, email or phone number unless you type it into a form yourself, for example on the Book a Talk page.
Cloudflare also runs basic traffic analytics on every visit regardless of your cookie choice. It's cookie-free and doesn't identify individual visitors.
If you do submit the quick-message form or the full booking request on Book a Talk, what you type (name, email, and the details of your enquiry) is delivered by FormSubmit, a third-party form-processing service, before it reaches my inbox. This isn't a cookie and isn't affected by your cookie choice above; it only happens when you actively submit one of those forms.
Cookies and your consent
Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity are both off by default. They only start once you click Accept on the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you reject it, or close it without choosing, they stay off. Your choice is stored in your browser and remembered on later visits.
Why I collect this
It tells me which pages and talks people actually engage with, so I can improve the site and follow up properly on genuine speaking and project enquiries. Nothing here is sold or shared with advertisers, and this site doesn't run ads.
Your rights under the Data Protection Act, 2024
Botswana's Data Protection Act, 2024 gives you the right to ask what data is held about you, request that it be corrected or deleted, and object to how it's processed. Email maverick@digitalthread.online for any of this.
Changes to this policy
